Thanks! As I mentioned I'm moving more to flattened green manure crops rather than classical mulch. It works well at bigger scales too with roller crimpers.

Good article Steve.....we use the chop and drop method on our farm mainly with nettles and comfrey I try not to have any bare soil. We also use the biodynamic preps, which act on the subtle levels and the unseen biological transmutation of elements which is a tricky one to measure but happens a lot with healthy plants, mulching is the way to go.
